The Wilderness Ride Leave the hustle and bustle behind you and join us for a weekend of truly getting away.
Imagine a weekend of relaxing in the beautiful Eagle Cap Wilderness riding the trails,
and looking at breathtaking scenery you won’t see anywhere else. And yes, someone else
will do all the work!
You will arrive on Friday and be matched to a horse that fits your skill level. All of our
horses have been dude horses for years and are very gentle. After some basic instruction
in wilderness horseback riding, you are off on your first adventure. Bring your camera,
and be prepared to see both the elk and deer that call the Eagle Caps home.
Arriving at camp, you are welcome to sit around the campfire with something cold while
your cook prepares dinner. Saturday morning will start off with a hearty breakfast and
packing a sack lunch, then you’re in the very capable hands of your guide to spend most
of the day riding.
Eat your lunch by a cool mountain stream, rest and relax. You will get back to camp
where dinner will be waiting with songs and s’mores around the campfire. On Sunday
after breakfast, mothers and daughters will ride back to base camp with their guide, enjoy
a light lunch and then drive home.
We suggest you stay at Cornucopia Lodge before your ride.
